STATUS: Alive
The Deer Woman is said to sometimes be seen as a beautiful woman just off the trail or behind a bush, calling to men to come over. Deer Woman is often said to have all the features of a normal young woman, except her feet which are shaped like deer hooves and her brown deer's eyes. Men who are lured into her presence often notice too late that she is not a natural woman and are then stomped to death. Other stories and traditions describe the sighting of Deer Woman to be a sign of personal transformation or a warning. Deer Woman is also said to be fond of dancing and will sometimes join a communal dance unnoticed leaving only when the drum beating ceases.

SCREECHER

SPECIES: Monster; Baykok
STATUS: Alive
The Baykok is a creature which is said to fly through the forests of the Great Lakes region. The cries of Baykok are also described as being shrill. Described as "Death" in The Song of Hiawatha, it is said to appear as an extremely emaciated skeleton-like figure, with thin translucent skin and glowing red points for eyes. The Baykok only preys upon warriors, but does so ruthlessly, using invisible arrows or beating its prey to death with a club. The Baykok, after paralyzing or killing its prey, then devours the liver of its victim.

THAT THING

SPECIES: Monster; Turok-Han
STATUS: Alive
They are a race of ancient powerful vampire-like monsters, stronger and fiercer than the regular vampires. Sunlight and beheading do kill them. They are also resistant although not invulnerable to being staked through the heart (they have denser sternums). Turok-Han are raised by blood offerings/rituals performed on a seal of Hell.
There is no definite answer as to who raised this thing. There is little information on what it is. All that is known is that this creature resembles what was believed to be the first species of vampire-esque creatures and has an unquenchable thirst for death and destruction. Why it was set on Loa is entirely unknown.

HANNAH BAKER

Hannah Baker was sick of most of her peers. Too many were turning sympathetic to the monsters they hunted. Born and raised in the life, she had always been tough little girl who stops at nothing to destroy whatever it is that she is after. After a series of unfortunate decisions, one that cost her family her baby brother, Hannah's thirst for inhuman blood consumed her. When she caught wind of a little town in Utah that was not only sympathetic to supernaturals, but also letting the vile things live amongst the proper population, she felt it her duty as a hunter to teach the people of Loa that these things are not and never will be friendly. Deep down inside, they were killers and only meant harm. She will stop at nothing to show them who these creatures really are.

GREGORY BOESE

According to reported sightings, ghosts have taken the shape of humans, animals, and even vehicles. A ghost or spirit remains connected to the mortal realm because it is attached to it through unfinished business or an unwillingness to move on. A poltergeist is a mischievous ghost, especially one that makes mysterious noises and moves objects.
On the morning of September 14 1996, Gregory Boese, 7, was riding his brand new Razor Scooter along a busy street just past his neighborhood. At the same time, Jonathon Tucker, a cross-country trucker, was slowly falling asleep at the wheel as he sped through the small town of Loa, Utah. He was already 2 days behind schedual, so he had driven all night. He would say it over and over again for the months that would follow, through the investigation and the tearful apology to the Boese Family. The kid came out of no where. Gregory Boese wasn't buying it as easily as his parents did, who always said Gregory was never too careful. He has begun to enjoy his little games he now plays with the cars and pedestrians that come on down his street. Throwing things in front or appearing before speeding cars, watching with glee as they swirve and drive off the road into a pole or a ditch. Shoving or tripping people as they walked to close to the exact placce he took his last breath. He especially loved to play with the dogs, make them cower as he poked, prodded and tugged on their tails. Yes, this once sweet little boy had turned out to be one nasty little spirit.

DENISE FETTBACK

SPECIES: Undead; Zombie
STATUS: Alive
An undead person commonly found in the spiritual belief system of Voodoo. Zombies are humans who have had their soul stolen by supernatural means and are forced to work for their "zombie master". Another more morbid version, that are often portrayed in horror films, depict Zombies as cannibalistic beings.
In life, Denise Fettback was an emergency room nurse, wife to Jason Fettback and the kindest young woman the neighbors had seen in a very long time. But her life was cut short in a tragic accident at the hospital where she worked. A man, mentally unstable after a life time of drug use, killed one attending and two nurses in a fit, including Denise. Jason was so devastated by the loss, he begged a local man he'd heard rumors of being a bokor. After many warnings, the man gave into the greiving man. Jason only wanted a chance to say goodbye. Unfortunately, it would lead to his own death. Denise was ressurected two weeks after her funeral. But she wasn't the same person. The bokor was far enough away to avoid Denise's undead wrath, but poor Jason was not. His body was found the next morning at the foot of Denise's open grave. As for Denise? Only time will tell how long she will stay hidden..

NADIF

SPECIES: Shapeshifter; Skin Walker

Unable to change into anything except a human, skinwalkers shed each skin they change into. They retain the memories of the person they shift into.
Nadif was growing increasingly bored with the metropolitan cities it usually inhabited. The human population in such places were jaded enough now that the havoc it tried to cause was more often met with instead of the sorrow and anger it craved. It started working it's way from small town to small town, enjoying the danger of nearly being discovered as much as the trouble it caused among the locals. Eventually, it found it's way in Loa, and was thrilled to no end by their hunter to civilian ratio. This would indeed be a fun new home.
